Konsep Pendidikan Board-Based Education (BBE) dan School-Based Management (SBM/MBS): Strategi Meningkatkan Mutu Manajemen Pendidikan di Indonesia

Abstract

This article examines the theological meaning of God's grace in Titus 2:11–12 and its implications for the responsibility of living in holiness for believers. This research is motivated by the emergence of a wrong understanding of grace, especially a view that separates salvation from the demands of a holy life so as to give birth to a permissive attitude towards sin. In this context, Titus 2:11–12 affirms that God's grace is not only saving but also educates and transforms the lives of believers. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach and exegetical analysis of the text of Titus 2:11–12. The results of the study show that God's grace in Titus's text is understood as an active and transformative work of salvation. Grace serves as a divine power that educates believers to abandon wickedness and worldly desires and to form a wise, just, and godly life in today's world. Thus, holiness is not understood as a human effort to gain salvation but as a response of faith to the grace of God that has been received. This research confirms that the relationship between grace and holiness is integral and inseparable. God's grace is the foundation for the ethical life of believers while encouraging real spiritual growth in daily life. Therefore, a correct understanding of grace is essential for the church today so that the church does not get caught up in the abuse of grace but lives in obedience and sanctification according to God's will.

Artikel ini bertujuan memberikan sumbang saran dan kajian konseptual atas berbagai problematika yang menyertai dunia pendidikan beserta organisasinya, khususnya Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) sebagai model manajemen otonom yang menempatkan kendali manajerial pada Kepala Sekolah bersama Komite Sekolah dan mempertanggungjawabkannya kepada para pemangku kepentingan. Pergeseran dari manajemen sentralistik menuju desentralistik membawa perubahan paradigma, yakni kerja tim menggantikan fungsi individual, supervisi berorientasi pada output, dan visi-misi dirumuskan secara kolektif. Kepala sekolah dituntut memahami tren perubahan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif serta mampu mengimplementasikan prinsip dasar manajemen perubahan sebagai terobosan dalam manajemen kependidikan. Pemahaman mendalam mengenai definisi manajemen, organisasi, dan sekolah menjadi dasar untuk memetakan strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan di tengah arus modernisasi dan globalisasi. Sebagai tawaran konseptual, artikel ini mengangkat Board-Based Education (BBE), sebuah inovasi dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan nasional yang menjanjikan paradigma baru menuju pencapaian mutu pendidikan, dengan nilai ideal yang dapat diterima dan futuristik, serta berorientasi pada keunggulan lokal.
